Foundational Fitness Boot Camp New Year - New You Contest!!!!!!
Come and join us for this awesome 12 week program!!!! led by Mac Raymond. The person who has the highest percentage of body weight loss at the end of the 12 week program wins a 3 month adult membership, 2nd place a 1 hour massage and 3rd place YMCA apparel.
FFB teaches you how to exercise, why to exercise, and it gives you quantifiable results. FFB will provide each participant with a fitness evaluation that will allow you to see your fitness level at the beginning of boot camp and then again at the end of the four weeks. FFB will discuss nutrition and fitness in a practical way to make your life better. All fitness levels welcome as Mac will present different levels so that the beginner and the more experienced exerciser will be challenged.
Each class is different and will work out your entire body. FFB helps with endurance, flexibility, speed, strength, balance and explosiveness. FFB will instruct you in proper technique to minimize the possibility of injuries and maximize results. You will see that fitness can be fun and challenging at the same time. This class will teach you to motivate yourself but will also provide accountability for you when you need it most. Don’t put off your fitness goals another minute – JOIN TODAY! Class is on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 515-600am beginning January 9th and running through March 30th. Registration $150 for YMCA members and $275 for Non-Members. Phil Little Isshinryu Karate
Phil Little, tenth degree black belt and his black belt instructors lead this Anderson tradition. Train smart from the start with this all inclusive style of Karate. Traditional style, self-defense, mixed martial art, Ju-jitsu and ground fighting. Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30-7:30 p.m. in Activity Room and 7:30-9:00 p.m. in Studio 1. AAYMCA Upstate Dance – taught by Ms. Hazel and Ms. Somer – Monday's beginning August 18th, 2011 thru May 2012. Monday's 4:15-5:00pm Baton, 5:00-5:45pm Cheer/ Tumble/ Pom, 5:45-6:30pm Kinder Dance Ages 4-5, 6:30-7:15pm 5th-8th Grade Jazz/ Pom. All classes will be held in the YMCA Dance Studio located inside at the front of the YMCA , next to the Aquatics doors. There is a $15 registration fee and each class is $40 per month. Payment is taken at the front desk of the YMCA only and 20% descount for 2nd child in family. Fees are due at the first class of each month and space is limited. Free t-shirt for all students! Zumbatomic!
Kids ages 6-12 please come and join us for this Latin inspired dance class! Class is on Wednesdays at 4:15 pm in studio 2 beginning in January. Class limited to the first 25 to sign up at the front desk. Non-members $8.00 per class or 12 session Group Exercise Pass for $75.00, free to Members.
Asian Sword Arts of SC
Asian Sword Arts of SC is a traditional school of swordsmanship which offers instruction in both Korean Kum Do(World Kum Do Association) & Japanese Goshindo(All Japan Goshindo Federation). The instructor, Thomas Urso, is a licensed by and the SC representative for both these organizations so you can be assured of quality in terms of safety and professionalism. wINgs (Working out IN God’s Services)- GET UP AND GO!
This is our newest and latest program for children ages 8-17, specifically designed around the YMCA’s triangle of Mind, Body, and Spirit. The program will be an opportunity for your child to experience a positively life changing workout that will be based around your child’s needs. An instructor will work directly with your child on cardiovascular equipment, weight bearing exercises, proper form, positive mentoring, and prayer. Our children are our future—and understanding and supporting their natural desire for physical activity will help build self-esteem for a lifetime of happy and healthy lifestyles. Zumba
Come and join us for this Latin inspired dance fitness class that incorporates Latin and international music. Zumba is exercise in disguise. Non-members $8.00 per class or 12 session Group Exercise Pass for $75.00, free to Members. Please check the monthly Group Exercise schedule for class times. Run Your Way to Fitness Make running an enjoyable part of your fitness regimen and healthy lifestyle! This 12 week fitness running program will gradually increase week by week so that the participant will be able to run 3.1 or 6.2 miles continuously by week 12. All fitness levels are welcomed. Programs are developed for individual needs and fitness levels. Remember, bring a good pair of running shoes, digital watch, and wear weather appropriate clothing. Classes will meet every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8:15am in the lobby and routes will vary. This program is free to YMCA members and $40 dollars for non-members.
